What is Google Drive?

Google Drive is a cloud storage solution in Google Workspace as well as Google personal accounts. It allows you to upload documents, photos, audio, and videos online. You can synchronize and access the files from your tablet, smartphone, or computer at the same time. Plus, the tool also allows for collaboration. Third parties can view your uploaded content when you share the link to uploaded files and give them permission. They can open files as a viewer, editor, or commenter, similar to how Google Docs works.

Google Drive is free to use and offers 15GB of storage when you sign up for a Google account. If that's not enough, you can get up to 2 Terabytes of space when you get a Google One subscription plan. Though the tool requires an internet connection, you can also make files available offline.

By default, Google Drive uploads your videos to the cloud when connected to Wi-Fi. If you upload your video with mobile data, the app pauses it and waits until you connect to a strong Wi-Fi network. In your notification tab, Google Drive gives you the option to resume the upload anyway. Alternatively, you can allow mobile data usage from the Settings menu in the Google Drive application. Using mobile data will attract charges.
