Dropbox for Google Workspace lets you create, organize, and share Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides on dropbox.com.
Any Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides created in Dropbox save to your Dropbox account and count toward your storage space. Changes made to these Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides automatically save back to your Dropbox account. They do not save back to your Google Drive or Google account in any way.

Create Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides on dropbox.com
- Sign in to dropbox.com.
- Click the folder you'd like to store your file in.
- Click Create.
- Hover over Document, Spreadsheet, or Presentation depending on the type of file you’d like to create.
- Click Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Slides.
The file [and any changes made to it] will save back to your Dropbox account.
Note: This feature may not work as expected on Internet Explorer 11.
Open Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides on the Dropbox mobile app
On the Dropbox mobile app, you can open previews of Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides and save them for offline viewing, but you can’t create or edit them.
Share Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides with Dropbox
You can share Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides exactly the same way you would share any file stored in Dropbox.
You can choose to give Can edit or Can view access to your Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, even when sharing with a link. You can further limit access to your shared links in your file’s link settings or deactivate a link after you’ve created it.
Open and edit Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files with Google
You can open and edit Microsoft Office files [Word, Excel, and PowerPoint] with Google [Docs, Sheets, and Slides] right from Dropbox. To do so:
- Sign in to dropbox.com.
- Hover over any Word [.docx], Excel [.xlsx], or PowerPoint [.pptx] file and click "..." [ellipsis].
- Note: This doesn’t apply to .doc, .xls, and .ppt files.
- Hover over Open and click Google Docs, Google Sheets, or Google Slides.
Any changes you make to these files will automatically save back to the Microsoft Office file in Dropbox.
You can also set your Microsoft Office files to open in Google by default.
I’m experiencing issues creating Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides in Dropbox
To use Dropbox for Google Workspace, the email you use for your Google account must match the email you use for your Dropbox account. If it doesn’t match, you can change the email address associated with your Dropbox account.

Kini, copy-paste hingga cut file atau dokumen di Google Drive akan semakin lebih mudah. Pasalnya, Google baru saja merilis fitur shortcut atau tombol pintasan untuk Google Drive versi web.
Mekanisme shortcut pada Google Drive sama seperti cara menyalin file di komputer, yaitu dengan menekan tombol Ctrl + C atau tombol Command + C pada komputer Mac untuk menyalin.

Untuk paste, pengguna bisa menggunakan pintasan keyboard Ctrl + V dan Ctrl + X untuk memotong dokumen. Shortcut akan berfungsi jika pengguna membuka web Google Drive lewat peramban [browser] Chrome.
"Sekarang Anda dapat menggunakan shortcut keyboard yang sudah dikenal Ctrl + C, Ctrl + X dan Ctrl + V untuk menyalin, memotong dan menempelkan file Google Drive melalui browser Chrome," tulis Google dalam blog perusahaan, sebagaimana dirangkum KompasTekno, Selasa [31/5/2022].
"[Fitur] Ini akan menghemat waktu Anda karena memungkinkan untuk menyalin satu atau beberapa file dan memindahkannya ke folder lain di Drive dan di beberapa tab dengan cepat," kata Google.
Menurut Google, file yang disalin juga akan mencakup tautan ke file tersebut, meskipun foldernya sudah berpindah. Begitu pula dengan judul file yang akan ditampilkan, sehingga memudahkan pengguna ketika file tersebut disertakan dalam e-mail.

Jadi, saat pengguna menyalin sebuah file ke bodi e-mail, judul file akan tertera beserta tautan file tersebut [hyperlink]. Kemudian, file akan terlampir secara otomatis sebagai "attachment", sehingga penerima bisa langsung mengunduhnya.
Selain cara di atas, pengguna juga bisa memakai shortcut Ctrl + C, Ctrl + Shift + V untuk menghindari duplikasi file. Adapula dukungan pintasan Ctrl + Enter untuk membuka file atau folder pada tab baru, sehingga Anda dapat melihat beragam file yang tersimpan di folder yang berbeda.
Sudah bisa dicoba di Indonesia
Shortcut keyboard Google Drive sudah tersedia untuk semua pengguna, termasuk di Indonesia. Dukungan shortcut keyboard Google Drive juga sudah bisa dicoba oleh pengguna di Indonesia.
Pantauan KompasTekno, ketika sebuah file disalin dengan pintasan Ctrl + C, Drive akan menyertakan keterangan "Item disalin ke papan klip". Kemudian ketika file tersebut di-paste ke folder lainnya dengan shortcut Ctrl + V, Drive menampilkan pop up "Membuat salinan [nama file]".
Judul file yang disalin itu juga menyertakan keterangan "Salinan" atau copy guna menujukkan asal dokumen tersebut.
