Mallory, a young actress, attends an audition with legendary documentary producer Fred Sandow for a new reality show. She ends up passed out on a park bench with no memory of the evening's events. The investigation uncovers evidence that she was drugged and sexually assaulted. With the help of Sandow's assistant Jess, the detectives find more victims willing to press charges against Sandow.  Sandow's son Eddie doesn't believe the charges against his father and ends up taking Jess and her daughter Lily hostage. He wants his father to be set free, but will settle for speaking to him. However, Sandow won't help the detectives unless the all the charges are dropped. Benson, called to the negotiations by Eddie, works quickly and diligently to end the hostage crisis. When Benson reveals to Eddie that his father assaulted his sister and caused his mother to abandon them both, she gets Eddie to end the siege.
