Abstract

ABSTRAK

Penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan pada pokok bahasan Fungsi Menggunakan Software Function Analyzer ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mahasiswa melalui penggunaan sofware pada mata kuliah Matematika Terapanmahasiswa D3 Teknik Mesin Universitas Negeri Surabaya [UNESA]. Penelitian tindakan kelas [classroom action research] dilakukan menggunakan model spiral Stephen Kemmis dan Robin McTaggart yang terdiri dari beberapa siklus. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua siklus dimana setiap siklusnya terdiri dari satu pertemuan. Setiap siklusnya terdapat empat tahapan, yaitu perencanaan [plan], pelaksanaan [act], observasi [observe] dan refleksi [reflect]. Subyek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Studi D3 Teknik Mesin yang menempuh mata kuliah Matematika Terapan pada semester gasal tahun akademik 2013/2014 dengan jumlah 17 mahasiswa. Pada penelitian ini pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penilaian  hasil tes formatif.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, penerapan pembelajaran Matematika Terapan materi Fungsi menggunakan media sofware Function Analyzer dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar mahasiswa dari adanya peningkatan penilaian tes formatif pada tiap siklus, yaitu siklus I sebesar 56,17, siklus II sebesar 69,41 dan siklus III sebesar 81,17.Berdasarkan pengolahan data, penerapan pembelajaran Matematika Teknik menggunakan media sofware memiliki dampak positif dalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa yang ditandai dengan peningkatan ketuntasan belajar mahasiswa dalam setiap siklus, yaitu siklus I [17%], siklus II [52%] dan siklus III [94%].

ABSTRACT

Classroom action research carried out on the subject of Functions Using the Function Analyzer Software aims to improve students' understanding through the use of software in the D3 Applied Mathematics Mathematics Engineering student course at the Surabaya State University [UNESA]. Class action research was conducted using a spiral model of Stephen Kemmis and Robin McTaggart consisting of several cycles. This study uses two cycles where each cycle consists of one meeting. Each cycle has four stages, namely planning [plan], implementation [act], observation [Observe] and reflection [reflect]. The research subjects were students of Mechanical Engineering D3 who took the Applied Mathematics course in the odd semester of the 2013/2014 academic year with a total of 17 students. In this study data collection was carried out by evaluating the results of formative tests. Based on the results of data analysis, the application of material Applied Mathematics learning Function using the Media Function Analyzer media can improve student learning outcomes from an increase in formative test assessment in each cycle, namely cycle I of 56.17, cycle II of 69.41 and cycle III of 81 , 17. Based on data processing, the application of Mathematics learning Techniques using software media has a positive impact on improving student learning achievement which is characterized by an increase in student learning completeness in each cycle, namely cycle I [17%], cycle II [52%] and cycle III [94% ]
