There’s nothing worse than forgetting the birthday of someone you care about. To ensure that you see those important days, you can add birthdays to Google Calendar. If you decide to hide them or remove one later, it’s just as simple.

Note: Per Google, you currently can’t add birthdays from Facebook to Google Calendar.

Add Birthdays to Google Contacts

The birthdays that you see in Google Calendar are for your Google Contacts. So to begin, make sure that the contacts you want to show up on your calendar are in your Google Contacts with birthdays.

Head to Google Contacts and add a new contact by clicking “Create Contact” at the top left. To edit an existing contact, click the pencil icon to the right of their name in the list.

As per title, all my Google contacts' birthday events are gone. The specific calendar is enabled, and in fact I can see all the birthdays as normal, but only up until the end of June 2020. After that, most of them are gone. I can find one or two if I go forward many months, but all the ones in between (which are correctly showing in Google calendar itself) are just not there.

I am using a Galaxy S8.

When using current version of Brave with shields disabled, logged into calendar.google.com, I am unable to see any contact birthdays. The “contacts” calendar is enabled and not hidden. Utilizing the same account and settings on Chrome (Version 90.0.4430.212 (Official Build) (64-bit)) all contact info/birthdays are visible. Likewise, using default calendar app on Android (and A++ Calendar app) shows the birthday info.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Log into google/gmail account
    2.Go to calendar.google.com
  2. Enable/check/unhide “Contacts” calendar under “my calendars”
  3. Go to a date with a known contact birthday to see if birthday is visible from the contact calendar view.
    No contact calendar is displayed.
    Expected result:

A birthday for the contact should appear with the calendar owner being “Contact”.

Additional Information:

Since I rarely use the desktop calendar to check for birthdays (relying almost entirely on my Android calendar to notify/remind), I don’t know how long contact calendar birthdays have been missing.
