Full program: 10 units (9 core and 1 elective)

The course comprises ten units of competency, delivered as three clusters and one stand alone unit:

Design:  The design units focus on skills and knowledge that are fostered to conceptualise, design, develop and review learning programs, pitched at the appropriate LLN level.  This first cluster provides you with the background of the VET sector, in particular how training packages link to their specific work contexts.

TAELLN411: This unit is delivered after completion of the Design units and equips trainees to identify the language, literacy and numeracy (LLN) capability and skill requirements of their prospective learners.

Deliver:  The Deliver cluster develops competence in planning, organising and delivering training programs to groups, specifically designed for workplace contexts. You'll develop skills to present your designed training plans to targeted audiences, both individual and groups. Competence develops in training others in the workplace, using real work activities as the basis for learning.

Assess:  The effectiveness of a learning program is gauged through assessment. This cluster follows on from the design and delivery phases. Your knowledge and skills will be expanded through the development of appropriate assessment instruments related to formative and summative assessments.  The effectiveness of the instruments are tested during the moderation and validation processes, where knowledge of compliance requirements is reinforced.
