How do I share a post from my personal page to my business page 2022?

Facebook seems to be changing again! If like me, you can suddenly no longer share posts between business pages, I've found a workaround! As a manager of multiple Facebook business pages, sharing posts is a very useful feature. However, as of today, I got the following error message (despite the fact I was working as a business page):

"Lisa Vassallo doesn't allow people to post on their Timeline. You can try sending this as a message instead."

However, I've found a workaround, as follows:

Change to ‘Use Facebook as:’ Your Personal account rather than as your business.
From the Home screen select the business page.
Open up ‘Posts to page’ and ‘Share’ the post you want to go to your business timeline.
On the ‘confirm’ pop up, pull down the ‘On your own timeline’ and change to ‘On the page you manage’.
Then select the actual business page from your selection if you have more than one.
Now when you confirm the share, its loaded onto your business timeline.

Hey, everybody. Wanted to give you a quick tip on how to share a post, a video, anything, from your business page to your personal page. Why do we want to do this? Because we want to make sure that any post we put on our business page are then sent and shared to our sphere. Let’s jump into it.

Let’s say I wanted to share this article that we’ve put on CrushIt onto my personal page. I would click on the share button in the bottom right corner of any post. As you notice, my name comes up right here and it says, “News feed and public.” If I didn’t want it to be on my personal news feed, I could select that and I could send it on a friend’s timeline, I could put it on any other pages I manage, or I could select public, I can go to friends, friends except only me, and then be able to share it that way. That’s your privacy setting on the post.

If you look down below, you also have share to your story, send in messenger, share to a page. Again, this would be to share to, let’s say, your business page. Let’s say, I wanted to take this article and share it to my business page, that’s how I would do it. Let’s say, you want to share it to a group that you’re a part of. You can click on share to group and then it’ll have options of all the groups that you can select, so any of the groups you’re in.

Again, just hit the share button. You can go to more options, it’s going to show you things within your phone. I’m doing this from an iPhone. If you have an Android, I’m sure the app is still going to be pretty similar. If you go to share, you can share to your story, and then it’ll send it there. You can do send in messenger, share to page, share to group, and that’s how you’ll do it.

Don’t forget, one of my biggest pet peeves is when people share an article and don’t tell people why to read it or why to pay attention to it, or share anything. Even a video, anything like that. Always make sure you write something. Write something [chuckles] and then hit share, and then it’ll be on your personal page. Why do you want to do this? Because you want to make sure that you’re posting anything that you post on your business page that you’re sharing to your personal, so your personal sphere can see the message as well.

3. On the bottom right, you can see the ‘Share’ button, click on it.
4. Now you get a dropdown with multiple share options. To share a post to your Facebook page, click on ‘Share to a Page’
5. Once you clicked on it, you have to select which Facebook page you want to share the FB post on.
6. Finally, you can also tick the option if you want to include the original Facebook post to your shared post. In this case, the Facebook post will also show the Facebook page and the original description.
7. Add your own description and commentary to the post, and then click on the blue ‘Share’ button.

That’s it, now you have successfully shared the Facebook post of another Facebook page.

Can’t share a post as a page on Facebook

If you can’t share a Facebook post as a Facebookpage, here are some things you have to keep in mind.

As we said, you can only share a Facebook post of another public Facebook page to your Facebook page. You can’t do that with Facebook posts of personal Facebook accounts.

You also won’t be able to share Facebook posts of a Facebook page if they have disabled the option to share their Facebook posts.

Last but not least, you have to have either a Facebook page admin or an editor access role to the Facebook page to be able to share posts as a Facebook page.
