I must also have to do with how efficient you are as a shooter.

As a noob, my position play is terrible, I'm constantly walking all the way around the table.

When I practice for a few hours and I'm just taking shots, pocketing balls, then taking them back out, I must go around the table hundreds of times. And you're getting down on the shot and getting back up continually.

As with anything that you do that requires control of the body, there must be some engaging of the muscles and calorie burning, but who knows how much?

So if we are to believe the statistics provided in the articles mentioned above, one could conclude that while some sports do prove to be more intense in terms of the amount you’re working, a couple of hours around a pool table certainly has its benefits.
