How to delete a playlist on iPhone without deleting the songs

How to add a playlist in the Music app on an iPhone

1. Open the Music app on your iPhone.

2. Navigate to your Library by tapping the icon at the bottom of the screen.

3.Tap "Playlists" at the top of the page.

4. If you've never made a playlist before, you'll be prompted immediately with the option to start making new ones. Tap the pink "New Playlist" button to begin.

5. If you've already made playlists, you will see a list of your current playlists, along with the option to add a new playlist next to a large plus sign at the top of the screen. Tap this plus sign to begin.

6. Both options will bring you to the New Playlist screen. Here, you can add a title for your playlist, upload custom cover art, and write a description. Tap the green plus sign next to "Add Music" when you're ready to start adding songs.

7. After tapping "Add Music," you'll then have the option to see your music sorted by artist, album, or even from your pre-existing playlists. Your recently added music will also appear at the bottom of the screen.

8. Tap "Done" in the upper-right hand corner when your playlist is complete. You can always add more music by tapping "Edit" at the top right hand corner of the screen, and then tapping the green plus sign by "Add Music" again.

How to delete a playlist on Apple Music on a computer

1. Open the Music app on your Mac and click on the playlist to be deleted on the left-hand side of the window.

2. Right click and select "Delete" or simply hit "delete" on your keyboard.

3. Confirm to delete by selecting "Delete Playlist," and select "Move to Trash."

How to delete a playlist on Apple Music on a mobile device

1. Open the Music app and tap "Playlists."

2. Tap and hold on the playlist to be deleted, then tap "Delete from Library."

3. Tap "Delete Playlist" to confirm.

How to Deletea Playlist in Apple Music From an iPhone

You can delete downloaded playlists in your Apple Music account directly from your iPhone. Follow these steps to do that:

1. Open the Music app and select “Library.”
   
2. Choose “Playlists.”
   
3. Find and long-press the playlist you wish to delete.
   
4. Choose “Remove…” from the pop-up options.
   
5. Select “Remove Downloads” if you want to delete the playlist from your iPhone’s local storage. Otherwise, pick “Delete from Library” to remove it from your media library.
   

How to Delete a Playlist in Apple Music From an Android

Although Apple Music is an Apple app, it’s available on Android. Here’s how to delete a playlist using an Android device:

1. Launch Apple Music and select “Playlists.”
   
2. Tap and hold on the playlist you want to remove.
   
3. Press “Remove…” from the pop-up options.
   
4. Select “Remove Downloads” to remove just the playlist from your device. Alternatively, choose “Delete from Library” to delete it from your Apple Music library.
