Step 3: Publish a new post on Facebook

Next, head over to your Facebook. Create a new post on Facebook and paste over the URL you copied in step 2.

Facebook will automatically fetch and display the preview of the tweet.

You should add a message to your post and don’t forget to include a call to action to increase your engagement.

Keep your post short. Studies show that keeping your Facebook post below 80 characters could increase your engagement by 66%.

Finally, just delete the actual link you pasted earlier to keep your post clean.

There’re a few tools you could use to do this, my favorite tool is Buffer.

Buffer is a social media management tool, it’s easy to use and free.

Step 1: Sign up for an account

Head over to Buffer and start a free 14-day trial. At the end of the trial, your account will be downgraded to a free plan where you can connect 3 social accounts.

Step 2: Connect your Twitter and Facebook accounts

Once you connect both your Twitter and Facebook accounts, you should see it on the sidebar.

Step 3: Compose a new message and select both Twitter and Facebook.

To start sharing, click on the text field. And make sure you select both your accounts. Buffer will share this post on your Twitter and Facebook.

Step 1

By using your username and password, Sign in to your Twitter account, which you want to link with Facebook.

Go to the profile menu option on the left side of the menu bar and select "Connect to Facebook" from the drop-down menu. Then scroll down until you reach the page's bottom and spot the "Facebook" icon. Select it to open a new browser tab.

Step 2 - Select the option 'Copy Link to Tweet' on the arrow facing down in the upper-right corner. You can also use 'Embed Tweet' if you want to share your tweet on any Blog or Website.

Step 3 - A pop-up window will appear with the full hyperlink of the tweet. Select and Copy the URL of the tweet.

Step 4 - Then, on Facebook, you must paste the URL, and a preview of it will be shown. After the preview, you can delete the actual URL or publish it there itself.

Sharing a Tweet Privately

There are two ways through which you can share your tweet. Scroll down to know how it is done.

  1. Sharing a tweet via SMS or Email by clicking the share icon within the tweet. Click 'Copy link Tweet' from the pop-up menu, which will copy the URL to your clipboard. Open an Email address with which you want to share it.

  2. When you want to share a tweet via direct message, click the message icon from the Tweet detail or from a tweet on your home page. Please note that you cannot share a protected tweet via direct message. You need to enter the name of the person/people you wish to share the tweet with or choose from the suggested account list from the pop-up menu. Click on the Next button and add a comment. Click on 'Send' to finish.
