How to use PS Vita as a controller for PC

Introduction

VitaPad allows you to use your PSVITA as a wireless PC controller. It supports Windows (both 32 and 64 bit) and Linux (port made by nyorem). In the future i'm planning to add also Mac Os X support and also add a proper fiddler for vJoy.

Footage (thanks to kood k)

Usage

  • Install VPK file on PSVITA
  • Open VitaPad on PSVITA
  • Open VitaPad on PC
  • Insert the IP showed on PSVITA on PC

Controls Mapping

You can edit your controls mapping by editing the XML file inside the client folder (windows.xml / linux.ml)

Default mapping:

DPAD = WASD
Cross,Square,Triangle,Circle = IJKL
L Trigger = Ctrl
R Trigger = Spacebar
Start = Enter
Select = Shift
Left Analog = DKeys
Right Analog = 8,6,4,2
Touchscreen = Mouse movement
Retrotouch = Left/Right click

Credits

nyorem for the Linux client port.

How to use PS Vita as a controller for PC

A new day a new Rinnegatamante project for our beloved hack.
Great work.

  • #3

I'll give it a try
Thanks

  • #4

It would be great If you could get Xinput emulation in there.

  • #5

Just want to thank you for your hard work here

  • #6

With a L2/R2 grip it would be just like using a playstation controller.

I tested this homebrew with a PSVITA TV using a Dualshock 4 <.<. So bad that PSVITA TV can't handles R2 and L2 for Dualshocks

  • #8

Will it be able to emulate Xinput or Dinput in the future?

  • #9

Thanks for this. Is there a way to get this to work as a bluetooth controller for android?

  • #10

Playing "Blade Kitten" minutes ago. Works fine! =)

  • #11

Awesome work buddy Thx, im sure a lot of people are willing to donate including me, if u include presets (specially xbox pad preset, and ini config file) also like Satan suggested, a bluetooth - android, client-server when u have time.
If u can do that, fuck piracy as far as im concerned ! this is all i want from my psvita!

  • #12

Thanks for this. A bluetooth feature would be sick!

Damn, guess I can give up my idea to duct tape a phone to the Vita and use it to play superior emulators with the Vita. Unless you can make a Windows Phone version, of course

"Left Analog = DKeys".
What're DKeys?
Also, nice to know that my Vita can now function as a glorified $200 Sony controller. Totally makes up for the lack of support from Sony. Arigatou, Rinne-san.
